My VCR ate my Are You Afraid of the Dark? tape right before the big finale
I was at my friend's house in 1995, and we were rewinding the episode with the Ghastly Grinner when the VCR made this awful grinding noise and spat out a mess of brown tape. We spent like an hour trying to wind it back with a pencil, but the tape was totally shredded. Did anyone else have a show totally ruined by their tech back then?

Oh man, you can sometimes save it with two pencils.
