Recorded every episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? on VHS, still have them
Back in 1995 my grandma got me a 13 inch TV with a built in VCR for my room. I used to set the timer every Saturday night to catch the new episode at 8pm on YTV. I still have like 40 tapes in a bin at my parents place, each one labeled with the episode name and date. Last month I dug one out to show my nephew and the tracking was so bad it looked like a horror movie itself. But the opening theme still gave me chills, that intro with the creepy music and the campfire never gets old. Anyone else ever rewatch something from your childhood and realize it was way more cheesy than you remembered, or does the nostalgia just make it hit different?
