A barista in Sacramento mentioned the "coffee nap" thing and I'm not sure if it works or if I just want it to
She told me to drink an espresso then shut my eyes for 15 minutes before the caffeine hits, and I tried it twice this week on my lunch break. My 1pm slump felt easier those days, but it could just be that sitting still helped. Anyone here actually do this on a regular basis, or is it one of those things that only works if you believe in it?
Does it count if you do it in your car in the parking lot? Because that's my move. I hit the drive thru for a small cold brew, park in the shade, set a timer for 15 and just close my eyes. Two of those a week and my afternoons are way less of a slog. Last Tuesday I skipped it and by 2pm I was reading the same email four times. Sitting still is probably half the trick, but the coffee sure doesn't hurt.
