Everyone keeps raving about how AI makes 'better' art, but my stats show I only kept maybe 6% of those outputs, which is worse than my manual sketching rate. The milestone mattered because it proved we're measuring the wrong thing, we celebrate quantity of prompts instead of the actual time spent curating and editing. After sorting through 400 images one night in Kansas City, I realized the real skill is rejection, not creation. I'm not saying AI is useless, I use it daily for rough concepts, but the hype around raw output feels off.
