My local library's AI chatbot vs. a real librarian, guess which one won

My town rolled out an AI search tool for our library catalog last month, and I gave it a shot when hunting for old city council meeting notes from 2019. It pulled up a list of files, but three were the wrong year and one was just a parking ordinance PDF. I asked the actual librarian about it and she found the right documents in about 4 minutes, plus pointed me to a local history archive I didn't know existed. So I'm wondering, has anyone else tested these automated reference bots against a human expert and seen a gap like that? What's the point of rolling these out if they can't handle basic context yet?
