Bought a $35 silicone air fryer liner, now my chicken tastes like a pool toy
I thought it'd save me scrubbing the basket, but after 3 uses the whole kitchen smelled like a inflatable raft and the crispy skin went rubbery. Anyone else try those reusable liners and switch back to parchment paper?
Water at 400°F will do that to silicone, it traps steam and turns your crisp into rubber no matter the brand. I trash those liners after one bad batch and just hit the basket with a scrub brush while it's still warm, takes 2 minutes. Parchment paper gets you the crunch and you toss it after, zero smell and zero guesswork.
