PSA: I thought air fryer boiled eggs were a dumb gimmick until I tried it twice
I rolled my eyes at every air fryer boiled egg post I saw for probably 8 months. Sounded like people just trying to use the thing for everything. Then my stove got tied up on Thanksgiving and I needed 6 eggs for deviled eggs, so I gave it a shot at 270 for 15 minutes. The shells peeled so clean I actually laughed out loud in my kitchen. No gray ring around the yolk either, which I never get right on the stove. I've done it 4 more times since, and only one egg cracked, and that was because I forgot to poke a hole in the fat end. The one catch is you have to ice bath them right after or the peel sticks bad. Anyone else find a time and temp that works better than 270 for 15? I'm in Phoenix so my tap water runs warm and I wonder if that matters.
