PSA: picking between a stubby wrench and a crows foot for one bolt taught me a lesson
Last week I was doing a fuel line check on a Cessna in the hangar and the fitting sat maybe 2 inches from the firewall, so it came down to a stubby 9/16 wrench or a crows foot on a short extension. I went with the crows foot because it gave me a straight shot, and of course it slipped off twice and I skinned my knuckle on the baffling. Swapped to the stubby, got it in 10 seconds, felt like a clown. Now I keep wondering if I just had the extension too long, so what do you all reach for when the clearance is that tight?
