My first install hit 50 systems and I'm kind of shocked
I started my own small alarm company in Tampa about 18 months ago, and I just logged my 50th full system install this morning. It felt like a real milestone, but honestly, I'm surprised I got here this fast. For those who have been at this longer, did hitting a number like that change how you ran your business or priced jobs?
Hitting that first 50 is a huge deal, man. It absolutely changed how I priced things. Early on you're just trying to get any job, but after 50 you know your real costs, like drive time and the extra service call for that one tricky sensor. You start building in a real profit margin instead of just covering bills. It lets you say no to the low-ball jobs that waste your time.
