Lost 14 shots to a stuck shutter in downtown Portland, then it fixed itself
I was out near Pioneer Courthouse Square last Tuesday shooting some street scenes with my old Spotmatic. The mirror locked up on frame 14 and I spent an hour in a coffee shop trying to figure if it was the battery or the mechanism. Wound it tight, tapped the baseplate, and it freed up like nothing happened. Anyone else had a camera fix itself after you gave up, or do you usually send it in right away?

Old cameras do weird stuff sometimes. Sounds like it just needed a breather. Good call not sending it in yet.
