I used to skip intros, then a guy at Anime Boston 2024 told me why that's a mistake
For years I hit skip on every opening theme because I just wanted to get to the story. Last March at Anime Boston, this guy in line for the Mob Psycho panel told me the intro is often the director's statement of intent for the whole season, and that Cowboy Bebop's "Tank!" sets up the show's rhythm before a single line of dialogue. I went back and rewatched the first 5 episodes of Bebop without skipping, and he was totally right, the whole thing felt different. Does anyone else watch the OP every time now, or do you still skip after episode 3?
