My manga shelf hit 500 volumes last month and I sat on the floor just staring at it
I keep a little notebook where I write down every volume I buy, and last month the tally hit 500. That number caught me totally off guard. Back when I started in 2016 I had maybe 12 books stacked on a nightstand in my old apartment in Columbus, and I figured that was plenty. Now there are three jam packed shelves plus a row of boxes in the closet. What got me was flipping through the notebook and seeing how many series I bought hot for two books and then never touched again. A few of those early pickups are worth way more now than what I paid, which was a fun surprise. Does anybody actually have a system for deciding what stays on the shelf and what goes in storage? I need help before the boxes take over the bedroom.
