One fan at Anime Boston kept calling me fake for liking subs
I was browsing a booth at Anime Boston last March when this guy came up and asked what I was watching. I said I prefer subbed versions because the voice acting feels more real to me. He laughed and said I was pretending to be a fan if I couldnt handle dubs. I told him I been watching anime for 12 years and own a small shop where I even paint figures on my lunch breaks. He just shrugged and walked off. Has anyone else had some gatekeeper try to tell you your fandom is wrong just because you picked a different audio track?
