Pro tip: skipping an anime's filler arc is not the same as finishing the anime
My buddy Marcus told me last month that he skipped 40 episodes of Naruto Shippuden filler and still calls it his favorite show, which rubbed me the wrong way. I get that filler can drag, but those slow stretches are where the side characters actually grow on you, and cutting them out feels like reading the last chapter of a book first. So here's my real question: if you skip the parts you find boring, are you even watching the same show the rest of us are?
