He told me "you're losing 45 minutes a job digging for lint you can reach from the outside" and he was right, I tested it on 6 dryers last week. Any of you still dropping the blower housing every time or am I late to this?
Ran the brush from the outside on a rental unit last month and pulled out a wad the size of a softball, but I still had to check the blower wheel because the airflow felt weak. Turns out the brush gets the duct clean but it won't tell you if the wheel is packed with lint or the housing gasket is shot. So now I do the quick outside pass first, then pop the top and shine a light down at the wheel for five seconds. Saves the full tear down most days but I'm not skipping that peek, because a clogged wheel will cook a motor just as fast.
