Half-used gouache set I almost tossed, now my go-to for everything
I had a box of dried-out looking gouache tubes sitting for like 2 years, figured they were trash. Then last month I soaked the caps in warm water for 10 minutes and they revived perfectly, still creamy and everything. Has anyone else salvaged old gouache that way, or is my batch just weird?
Warm water trick works on MORE than just paint, that's for sure. Found that out with my old mascara tubes and even some dried up glue sticks, just a little soak and they come back to life. It's like half the stuff we throw away just needs a few minutes of patience instead of a trip to the trash. Kind of makes you wonder what else we're tossing too soon, honestly.
