Just wasted $40 on a set of dried-out acrylics

Found a bundle of 12 acrylic paint tubes at a garage sale for $40, thought I scored big. But half of them were crusty and unusable inside, and one just spit out water. Anyone else get burned on pre-owned paint before?

Learn to squeeze the tubes before you buy them. If they feel hard or crunchy in any spot, just put them back. I've grabbed a few "bargain" lots myself and ended up with a pile of dried up paint that was basically just a big waste. Least you found out early before you tried using them on something important. Garage sale paint is always a gamble, never really worth it unless you can test every single tube right there.

My cousin bought a whole box of those once and half of them crumbled like old cheese when she tried to squeeze them out.
