The 2019 pigment waste stat that sent me down a rabbit hole
Read on the Golden Paint site archives that around 30% of acrylic paint gets tossed just from test strips and palette leftovers yearly. That number stuck with me for weeks. I started scraping dried paint off my glass palette and remixing with medium to stretch my tubes. Anyone else repurpose test swatches into collage paper or storage jars?

The scraping and remixing thing is way more dedication than I've got. My dried paint usually meets its end when I peel it off the palette and flick it into the trash like a weird little confetti. Also that 30% stat probably doesn't count all the paint I've ruined by leaving the cap off overnight, which is honestly a separate tragedy.
