The lady at the Columbus swap meet who traded me 12 dried-out tubes for a jar of linseed oil
I brought a box of old oil paints to the Columbus art swap meet back in October, mostly stuff I hadn't touched since 2019 and half of it dried solid. A woman running the table next to mine looked at my box, pulled out 12 tubes that were still soft enough to squish, and offered them to me for a small jar of linseed oil I had in my bag. I've been carrying a small bottle of oil to every swap since then, because reviving old paint seems to be the easiest way to make a trade when nobody wants to buy. Does anyone else bring a fixer kit to swaps, or am I the odd one out?
