The lady who gave me 30 half-used oil paint tubes for free in Portland

Met this older woman at a coffee shop who overheard me complaining about paint costs. She said her late husband had a studio in Sellwood and she just wanted the stuff gone before she moved to a condo. I walked out with a whole shopping bag of Windsor paints, some still 80% full, and she refused any money. Has anyone else gotten a windfall from a stranger's estate cleanout, or is that just a Portland thing?
