Can we talk about how my $12 mop beat the $60 one at my place in Boise?

I bought a fancy spin mop from the big box store and it fell apart in 3 weeks, then grabbed a plain $12 string mop at WinCo last month and it cleans my whole kitchen floor in half the time, so what cheap thing did you swear off before finding out it was actually better?

Remember those cheap white foam flip flops? Bought a $3 pair at a gas station on a beach trip after my fancy ones rubbed my feet raw, and they outlasted them by two whole summers. Sometimes the no-name stuff just gets the job done.
