The county fair pumpkin weigh-off changed my whole approach to compost

I watched a guy win $1,200 with a 1,800 pound gourd and he said his secret was feeding the pile weekly, not just dumping scraps when I remembered. Now I add a shovel of finished compost every Saturday morning like clockwork, has anyone else had results from a strict feeding schedule?
