Pro tip: stop asking every new person in the chat what part of town they're in
Ran an Atlanta meetup group for 3 years and always opened with "where y'all from" and it killed every convo before it started. Start with the last local thing that annoyed you (mine was the I-85 connector ramp at 6:15pm) and watch people actually talk.
