The 5 Points MARTA platform felt like a different place after they put in those new lights
I ride through 5 Points station pretty much every morning around 7:20 and for the longest time that platform was just this dim, gray, kind of depressing spot. About two years back they swapped out the old fixtures for those bright white LED panels along the whole platform edge and ceiling, and I swear the vibe flipped overnight. Before, people hugged the walls and stared at the floor. Now folks actually stand near the middle, and I have seen way more people waiting on benches instead of pacing. A guy who works the booth down there told me the lighting crew finished the whole station in about six weeks, mostly overnight. The station still smells like a station, don't get me wrong, but you can actually read a book down there now without squinting. It got me wondering what other stations got the same treatment. Has anyone noticed a spot on the north line that changed like this too?
