The guy at the counter on Moreland told me to skip the Tuesday meetup and I'm still not sure he was right
About 4 months ago I was grabbing coffee on Moreland and got to chatting with a guy who's been going to all these local chat nights around Atlanta way longer than me. He said flat out, "skip the Tuesday ones, it's all the same five people repeating themselves." So I did, for like 6 weeks, and honestly it was fine, I got some evenings back. But then a friend dragged me to one last month and it was actually one of the better nights, good mix of new folks, stuff I hadn't heard before. So now I'm wondering if that counter guy just caught a few bad Tuesdays and wrote the whole thing off. The weird part is the Thursday group he hyped up was kind of flat when I finally checked it out. I get that people have strong opinions about which nights are worth it, but it seems super dependent on who shows up that week. Has anyone else gotten advice like that about which local chats to hit and found it totally backwards?
