My torque wrench read 15 ft-lbs off and I only caught it because a cal guy in Amarillo called it out
Back in March I brought my click type wrench to a calibration trailer at a truck stop outside Amarillo just to kill time, and the tech said it was reading 15 ft-lbs heavy at the low end. I had used that same wrench on maybe 40 lug nuts over the winter, so I went back and rechecked every wheel I could remember and found two that I know I under torqued. Now I mark the handle with the calibration date in paint pen so I stop second guessing myself. How often are you all sending yours in, or do you just trust the click and move on?
