Warning: That $40 timing light from Amazon gave me a false reading
I was working on a 2002 Ford Explorer yesterday and the cheap timing light I bought last week showed the mark dead on at 10 degrees. Turns out the thing was off by like 8 degrees because the internal circuit was garbage. Has anyone else run into a bad tool messing up a simple job like this?
