Showerthought: my car haul quote dropped $400 in 3 weeks just because I changed the pickup date
I got quoted $1,150 to ship my Civic from Phoenix to Denver on a Friday, then asked again for a Tuesday pickup and the same broker came back at $740, so has anyone else seen weekday pickups knock that much off, or did I just get lucky?

Weekday pickups saved me around $300 when I moved my Corolla from Vegas to Portland last year. Brokers know weekends are when most people want their cars gone, so they jack up the rate. I asked for a Wednesday pickup and the guy came back cheaper without me even pushing. You probably could've saved even more if you booked like two weeks out too.
