Almost backed out when the broker asked for a $150 deposit on a Tacoma run from Phoenix to Boise
Found a company online with decent reviews and they wanted the deposit up front before assigning a driver, which felt like a red flag. But the guy explained it gets credited to the final price, and 4 days later a carrier showed up at my door in Phoenix right on time. Truck got to Boise without a scratch and I paid the balance in cash to the driver. Did I just get lucky, or is the upfront deposit thing normal now?
