Found out my car rode the same train as 1,400 others and that's normal
I always pictured one truck pulling up to my door in Phoenix with just my car on it, but the dispatcher said my sedan shared a rail car with about 1,400 other vehicles on the way out of Ohio. That number floored me. Back in the day when I shipped my first car in 2009 it felt like a small operation with a guy and a clipboard, but it's a whole system now. Has anyone else been surprised how many cars move together on these runs?
