I was talking to a dispatcher named Ray at a yard outside of Tulsa and he said they won't move a carrier until they have a full load, so my car just waited. He told me that if you call the broker and ask for a "partial load release" it can get your car picked up sooner, sometimes for $75 to $100 more. I tried it on my next move and the car left the next morning instead of sitting for 3 days, so now I always ask. Has anyone else had luck asking for a partial release, or do you just wait it out?
