Is a star tracker actually worth it for backyard viewing? Got torn answers last week
At a local meetup in Tucson, one guy swore his $400 tracker changed everything for spotting faint galaxies. But another dude said he sold his after 6 months because the setup ate into his enjoyment, he just prefers letting the sky drift through his Dobsonian. I get both sides, tracking feels like fighting the Earth, but untracked lets you really sit and soak in a single patch. For anyone who's tried both, which way did you land and how long did you test each before deciding?
