Took me 7 years to realize I was watching bad movies wrong
I always fast forwarded through the boring parts until my buddy pointed out that those dull scenes are what make the bad dialogue and weird acting so funny later. Has anyone else accidentally been ruining their own bad movie night by skipping the slow stuff?

Wait, is watching bad movies really that deep? I mean, I get that the boring parts might make the funny bits land better, but it's not like we're critiquing a masterpiece or something. Fast forwarding through slow scenes is pretty standard, especially if you just want the laughs. Maybe it's just me but I don't think you were ruining anything, you were just watching it your own way. The whole point of bad movies is they're supposed to be dumb fun, not some kind of cinematic experience. Idk, seems like overthinking a popcorn flick to me.

Haha fair point, you're probably right. Maybe I'm just trying to turn eating a bag of popcorn into a Michelin star meal.
