A stranger's comment about my retro setup actually made sense
I used to hoard every free game Epic gave away, even ones I'd never touch. Someone on a Discord server said my library was just a collection of guilt, not games, and it stung cause it was true. Now I only grab a freebie if I'll actually play it within a month, and I've started gifting duplicates to friends who want them. My backlog finally feels manageable, and I'm not drowning in 40 launchers anymore. Anyone else ever get called out like that and actually change how they collect?
and honestly that Discord rando probably saved me from myself. I did the same thing with Steam sales for years, grabbed anything under five bucks just cause it was cheap. Then one day I counted 400 games and realized I'd actually finished maybe 30 of them. Feels dumb in hindsight. Now I keep a small list of stuff I really want, only buy when it's on sale for less than that list price, and delete anything I haven't touched in a year. Cutting it down to what I actually play made gaming fun again instead of this weird chore of staring at a wall of titles.
