The cardboard trick that fixed my leaning monitor arm for $3
My monitor arm kept sagging to the left after about a week no matter how hard I cranked the bolt on my desk. Last Tuesday I cut a small square from a cereal box, folded it twice, and wedged it between the clamp and the underside of my desk. Three weeks in and the screen hasn't dropped a single millimeter, which is wild since I was about to buy a $60 steel plate I didn't need. The folded cardboard just spreads the load so the clamp can't dig into the wood and loosen up. Anyone else solve a wobble with something dumb and cheap like this?
