Two ways to set up a standing desk: I saw both at a local coworking space

I was at The Work Nook in Austin last Tuesday and noticed two different standing desk setups. One guy had a cheap manual crank desk that wobbled bad at 40 inches, the other had a $900 Jarvis frame with a custom oak top that was rock solid. I swear the guy with the wobbly desk was switching positions every 10 minutes while the other guy barely moved. Which matters more for long term use, the build quality or just having any standing option at all?

gonna have to disagree a bit here. a wobbly desk is gonna drive you crazy no matter how much you spent on it or how often you move around. honestly, having a solid setup you barely adjust beats a shaky one that makes you anxious every time you lean on it.

nah this reminds me of my buddy who spent a fortune on a standing desk and the thing wobbled so bad his coffee cup would slide across it. he ended up just putting a stack of cardboard under one leg and called it a day.
