Countersunk bolts in the wrong hole made me ditch the torque wrench
On a group ride outside Austin, my crank arm worked loose mid-sprint because I trusted a shop's pre-set torque instead of checking the spline interface. I now grease every interface and hand-tighten to feel, then torque, and I've had zero failures in 2 years of commute plus gravel. Anyone else skip the spec and go by feel on certain parts?
