My favorite show was ruined by a bad streaming glitch and I almost gave up on it

I was 8 episodes into this show called "The Returned" on a streaming service I won't name, and it's this slow burn French mystery thing. Then one day the app crashed and when I came back, episode 9 was gone from my watchlist. The platform had removed the whole series without warning. I spent like 2 hours on hold with customer support and they basically said "sorry, licensing expired." I was so mad because I was hooked on the story and the cliffhanger from episode 8 was brutal. Ended up finding the rest of the season on a free site with subtitles that were slightly off, but I powered through. Has anyone else had a streaming platform just yank a show mid-binge? It kills the whole momentum.

The platform removed the whole series" - thats insane, I would lose my mind.

Thats the kind of thing that makes me want to ditch these platforms entirely.
