Just realized my cheap window film did more harm than good
I bought a $15 roll of static cling film from Home Depot in Portland to stop a finch from hitting my kitchen slider. It peeled off after two rainstorms and left a sticky mess that took an hour to scrape. Now I'm trying the $30 bird tape from Audubon, which seems way more solid. Has anyone else had static film fail on them or do I just need to cut the strips smaller?

Was the surface totally clean before you stuck it on? Any tiny bit of dirt or grease and that static stuff won't hold at all.
