Hot take: pre-drawing my scrollwork on the anvil horn saved me 2 hours on that rail job
Always thought layout was flying blind stuff, but tracing that S-hook pattern with soapstone on the horn in Denver last Tuesday let me bend 14 pieces without eyeballing each one. Does anyone else mark reference points on their anvil or am I just slow to this?
