Pro tip: watch the origin point, not the mesh, when your model spins weird
Spent 20 minutes fighting a coffee mug that kept orbiting off screen when I rotated it, and it turned out my origin was sitting at like -40 units on the X axis. Fixed it with Object > Origin > Origin to Geometry and the thing spun in place like it should. Nine out of ten new Blender posts I see with spinning or scaling weirdness are the same deal, it is almost always the origin point. How do you all keep track of where your origins end up on a scene with a bunch of pieces?
