The 2 hour power outage in Tulsa killed my unsaved donut, so should I set up autosave or just train myself to mash ctrl+s?
So I was at my sister's place in Tulsa over the weekend, working on this donut tutorial model on my laptop, and the power flickered and died for like 2 hours. I lost a solid chunk of work because I never touched the autosave settings and kept putting off ctrl+s. Now I'm stuck arguing with myself about the fix. Side A says turn on autosave and set it to every couple of minutes, let the software babysit me. Side B says autosave makes you lazy and the better habit is to just hit ctrl+s after every big move, so you always know where your file is. My brother in law works in IT and he swears by autosave, but a guy in my Discord says it saved over his good version once and he lost more than he gained. I get both sides but I keep flip flopping. What do you all actually run with, and how often do you save?
