A guy at my local game night in Akron told me Monopoly was designed to teach kids that land grabbing is bad, and I had to go look it up
Sure enough, the original 1904 version was called The Landlord's Game and it was meant to show how renting makes the rich richer, which makes every family fight over Boardwalk way funnier to me now and I need to know if this changes how anyone here feels about pulling it out.

Wait, does knowing that make you feel weird about still loving it, or kinda better about it? Honestly I get a little kick out of it now, like we're all secretly playing a game that's roasting us while we fight over the thimble.
