Pipe fit-up trick with a ratchet strap I wish I learned sooner

Last month on a job in Gary, we had two 24 inch sections that would not line up square no matter how many bars we used. I threw a ratchet strap around both flanges and took up the slack slowly. It pulled them true in about 5 minutes. We had been fighting it for almost an hour before that. Anyone else use straps for fit-up or do you stick with the hydraulic jacks?
