Showerthought: picked a firebrick arch over a flat one for the firebox and I'd do it again
Went with the arch on a small shop boiler rebuild in Gary last month because it holds heat better through a cold start, and it got up to temp 12 minutes faster than the flat one I tried before, but has anyone run into the arch cracking at the crown after a few seasons?

Man, crown cracks usually mean the skewback is shifting, not the arch itself.
