My bone folder snapped on the last signature of a 300 page rebind

Was pressing the fold on signature 150 of a rebind Friday night and my bone folder snapped right in half at the tip. Heard a pop and then there was a jagged edge digging into the text block, which left a crease I had to sand out with 400 grit. I finished the fold with the back of my teflon folder, but it kept slipping on the paper and the last 20 signatures came out looser than the first batch. That crease is still slightly visible on the title page and I am thinking about lifting and re-gluing that one page. Has anyone found a bone folder that survives real pressure, or am I just pressing too hard on the crease?
