Switched from grow lights to a south window for 3 weeks, the difference surprised me
I had a cheap LED setup from Amazon that I figured was fine. After my coworker in the club said her plants do better by a window, I moved my two philodendrons to the south sill in my kitchen. 3 weeks later the new leaves are bigger and the stems are sturdier, plus I stopped dealing with that annoying timer. The light meter said the window gets around 2,000 foot candles on a clear day, which was way more than my 15 dollar light bar was putting out at 12 inches. Anyone else ditched artificial light for natural light after comparing growth side by side?
