Last Tuesday at the Culver City job was a total nightmare

We were repointing a 60 year old retaining wall and the mortar mix I got from the supplier near La Brea was way too wet, like soup. I had to tear out about 8 feet of work after it sagged right before lunch. Anyone else have a batch that just wouldnt hold up no matter how you adjusted the water?

Man that's brutal, eight feet of work gone just like that. How wet was that mix though, like straight up pouring out of the bucket?
