Finally stopped buying $9 oat milk and my lattes at home taste better now
I was spending $9 a week on oat milk at the store because my homemade oat milk kept coming out slimy and gross, which felt like a scam since oats cost like 89 cents a pound. Then a barista at the coffee spot on 5th showed me that if you blend the oats with ice cold water for only 30 seconds and strain it twice, it stops getting that weird glue texture, and now I spend maybe $2 a month on milk. Has anyone else found a cheap swap that actually beat the store version, or am I just late to this?
