Found a $12 brass lamp at Goodwill in Tulsa, cleaned it up and it looks like it came from a showroom
Last Saturday I was killing time at the Goodwill off 11th street and spotted this beat up brass lamp with a torn shade. Weird green crust all over the base. Took it home, hit it with some vinegar and baking soda paste, polished it for about 20 minutes with a soft rag. Replaced the shade with a $8 drum shade from Walmart. Now it sits on my nightstand and honestly looks like something my aunt would have paid $150 for at an antique store. Anyone else got a thrift store piece that needed way less work than you expected to look expensive?
